The nuts and bolts workshop will educate staff and stakeholders on Brownfield redevelopment procedures as they relate to economic development, sustainability and the implementation of the Blue Island Plan. The training workshop will provide information to help the BAT members make informed decisions as to which Brownfield sites will be chosen to receive Phase I and Phase II Environmental Assessments. We look forward to seeing you there!

In 2007, the USEPA awarded the City of Blue Island with a $200,000 Brownfields Assessment Grant.

This site will inform Blue Island residents, business owners and other stakeholders about the USEPA-sponsored assessment project, brownfield sites and related redevelopment occurring in the community. Please check back as project information will be continually updated.
