The City of Blue Island, partnered with the Center for Neighborhood Technology (CNT), is holding a public meeting to update its Economic Development Plan and we’d like to hear your input! The meeting is Wednesday, February 25 from 7-9PM at the City Hall East Annex, 2434 Vermont Street. We hope you can make it!

The City of Blue Island wishes to obtain qualifications and a priced proposal from qualified firms for environmental engineering services for its 2008 USEPA Brownfields Assessment Grants. Consultants will perform Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in conformance with respective USEPA Brownfields Program requirements. The work will be completed in cooperation with the City of Blue Island and as part of its USEPA Brownfields Assessment grant project.

The 2007 and 2008 quarterly reports were completed and sent on 1/30/09.
Bryant Williams of AECOM is in the process of sending the Phase I reports to the City – we hope to have all by the end of next week.
