Phase I Environmental Site Assessment

A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment is a physical inspection of a potential brownfield site. Phase I assessment components include:

• a records review;
• a site inspection;
• interviews with individuals familiar with historical operations at the property;
• and reporting

No actual testing or sampling is performed during a Phase I ESAs.
