Notice of City of Blue Island’s intent to apply for U.S.EPA Brownfields Multi-purpose Pilot Grant; Notice of a Public Meeting to discuss, accept and consider Public Comment on the Draft Grant Proposal; and Request for Public Comment on the Draft Grant Proposal.
The City of Blue Island intends to apply for a U.S.EPA Brownfields Multi-purpose Pilot Grant that is due on February 10, 2012.
This proposal is associated with the assessment, cleanup planning and cleanup of hazardous substances at 2 parcels located at the south-eastern corner of the Northeast Mixed-Use Commercial Park, the former landfill site at 119th St and Vincennes Ave. Below are the addresses for the subject parcels-

- Parcel F- 1700 123rd St, Blue Island, IL 60406 (PIN #2530-2170-01-0000 )
As part of the application process, the City is required to provide public notification and obtain public input on the grant application.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
The public information meeting will be held on Monday, February 6, 2012 from 6 PM – 7 PM at Blue Island Public Library, 2433 York Street, Blue Island, IL 60406 where the City staff will be available to discuss the draft proposal and consider public responses.

Starting January 29, copies of the draft cleanup proposal will be available for public review and comments at the following locations.
